President Biden's Address to the Graduating Class of U.S Military Academy - A Momentous Occasion Signifying the Need for Responsible Cadets More Than Ever!

President Joe Biden, in his commencement speech at West Point, underscored the urgency of the global threats the country is facing. He urged this year’s graduating cadets to preserve the country’s ideals at home and confront these unprecedented threats across the globe.

On Saturday, Joe Biden was present at Sun-Swept West Point, congratulating the new United States Military Academy graduates. During the much-anticipated commencement speech, he said, “On your very first day at West Point, you raised your right hands and took an oath not to a political party, not to a president, but to the Constitution of the United States of America.”

He then called upon the class to help the country tackle international threats and preserve the country’s constitution. “Nothing is guaranteed about our democracy in America,” he added, “Every generation has an obligation to defend it, protect it, preserve it, and choose it. Now it’s your turn.”

Biden’s speech, which was 22 minutes long, sharply contrasted former President Donald Trump’s 2020 commencement address, where he motivated the cadets to be “loyal to the government.” The majority of graduates and ex-graduates didn’t like the hidden motive of his speech that year. On the contrary, Biden reminded the cadets that they took an oath to be loyal to the U.S. Constitution, not to their commander in chief.”

The 84-year-old president praised the U.S. military for successfully repelling most drones and cruise missiles sent by Iran at Israel. He also mentioned the military’s assistance in defending Ukraine against Russia through providing extensive training to Ukrainian soldiers.
